What Is Towel GSM?

When shopping for towels, you may have noticed the term “GSM.” It stands for grams per square meter, and it measures the weight and density of the fabric.

The higher the GSM, the thicker, softer, and more absorbent the towel will be. For example, a 300–400 GSM towel is lighter and thinner—great for the gym or travel. A 600–700 GSM towel is plush, luxurious, and ideal for home use.
